There is a lot more to the running of this successful kennels than first meets the eye. These pages show what actually goes on behind the smiling face that greets you in reception.
Injured wildlife is often brought to Normandale.
We work
closely with our local vets to ensure
they are treated, nursed and brought back to
full recovery, before being released.
Some animals choose to stay forever -
if they choose to stay, they are welcome.
We will provide food, warmth and accommodation
for the rest of their lives, without imprisoning them.
Note: Please do not disturb baby wildlife, deer
or birds. Their mother is usually nearby.
If you are concerned, please ring your
local RSPCA who will advise you.)
At Normandale, we have a very real love and
understanding
of all animals and the animals
seem to know!

A sick pigeon is
kept warm, hand fed
and given a drink. |

This process is
repeated every
few hours. |

Gradually after a
couple of days, he
is well enough to
perch and will
soon move to the
aviary to progress. |
 |

A poorly duck is
cared for until
able to join the
others in the
paddock. |
